About
The summer of 1990 was the first time walking into the computer room to see the Honeywell 6000 Mainframe Computer. How could it be with production runs of 10,000 to 40,000 parts, the plant was plagued by material shortages?
Two warehouses full of inventory but never all the right parts. Every employee would say they worked for whoever their boss was and ultimately the plant manager, but the truth was everyone worked for Honeywell 6000 and the program that ran inside it.
Three decades later, computers have gotten smaller and software has gotten much larger while material shortages have stayed the same or gotten worse. The increasing competitive marketplace has demanded more choices and options and made material management even more challenging.
The materials solutions of today are only effective for companies with less products, options and complexity. Regardless of the system used, companies eventually override the system. It’s those companies that need our custom dynamic demand solution.
